As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations, the Embassy and Friends of India celebrated the festivals of Onam and Rakshbandhan in the Chancery on 19 August.
The celebrations started off with a short presentation explaining the significance of the two festivals. This was followed by the ceremony of tying the Rakhi.
Onam was celebrated with Thiruvathira dance, Onam songs, Mohiniyattam and Onasadya.
