Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award, 2019

1. Government of India has introduced self-nomination for Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award (PBSA 2019). Therefore, Indian communities/associations/individuals are encouraged to nominate any individual or association for PBSA 2019.

2. Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award (PBSA) is conferred on a person of Indian origin and non-resident Indians or an organization/institution established and run by a PIO/NRI who has made significant contribution in any of the following fields:

1. Better understanding of India


2. Support to India causes and concerns in a tangible way


3. Building closer links between India, the overseas Indian Community and Germany


4. Social and humanitarian causes in India or abroad


5. Welfare of the local Indian community


6. Philanthropic and charitable work


7. Eminence in one field or outstanding work, which has enhanced India prestige in Germany


8. Eminence in skills which has enhanced India prestige in Germany (for non-professional work)

3. A copy of the nomination form is enclosed for your kind information.

4. Complete nomination forms may be sent by 30th August 2018 to the email address : pbsaward@mea.gov.in and the hard copy at the following address : Dr. Manoj Kumar Mohapatra, Joint Secretary (OIA.II), Ministry of External Affairs, Room No.916, Akbar Bhawan, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi 110021, India. Please send nominations by 15 May, 2018. Incomplete nomination form will not be entertained.
