Praana: From the Sanskrit prāna, vital energy or breath. It traditionally refers to the breath that is exhaled (from 'pra', outward movement, and 'an', the animate).

The ancient traditional India offers endless exploration materials in this regard as it has delved into the wisdom of praana in its many facets. Praana is considered as a vital aspect in artistic processes and a research field to develop. We are at a time when it seems crucial to put culture and art at social service as a tool for achieving a healthy world; the art oriented to the creation of a social conscience, of a search of the vital energy for the community good.

Within the framework of creation, training and research of LAB-India, Casa de la India's performing arts laboratory, the following workshops are presented within the Praana project, a multidisciplinary meeting space from the performing arts around the vital act of breathing:

Workshop I: Pranayama- Conscious Breathing, The Art of Breathing. Yoga
The exercise of breathing in the practice of yoga to improve our life.

The study of movement and the expressive capacities of each part of the body. Bharata natyam and Kathakali training techniques and the application of their aesthetic principles to our own language of movement
