ADVISORY : BRINGING THURAYA SATELLITE PHONES INTO INDIA IS BANNED
Use of Thuraya/Iridium satellite phone is banned in India without specific permission from the Department of Telecommunications (DOT), Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India. Satellite phones imported for use in India without valid permission of DOT will be detained and appropriate action will be initiated in accordance with the law.
